Lydia SLOBODIAN

Adjunct Professor of Law, Georgetown University

With over a decade of experience in conservation and sustainable development, Lydia has supported development of environmental policy and legislation around the world.  She publishes on a wide range of topics including virtual water, intergenerational equity, forest governance and synthetic biology.  Lydia currently teaches International Environmental Law in Practice at Georgetown University, and is a founding partner of L4Earth, an international firm working to leverage law and policy to achieve transformational change.  Lydia previously served as Senior Legal Officer for IUCN.

Lydia holds an MA and MPhil from the University of Cambridge and a JD from Georgetown University.  She is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association.
